Essex boys have won promotion from Group 3B in the LTA Junior Inter County Competition.
The 18 and Under team were in action at Wycombe and won their group with wins over Derbyshire 6-3, Cornwall 8-1 and Cheshire 6-3.
Sam Pedder from Cranston Park had a 100 per cent weekend winning al his six matches, all without dropping a set, as he contributed to the success.
Richard Harvey, from Gidea Park, won his three singles matches.
The rest of the squad was Richard Harrison, Derek Jose, Richard Wire, Jagdev Sagoo, Nick Harston and Jon Tremaine.
Essex girls were in action in Group 2B at Billesley in Birmingham and won two of their three matches.
In the opener they beat Warwickshire 5-4, then lose to Middlesex 6-3, and finished with a 7-2 win over Cheshire.
Janice Torr from Billericay playing at No 1 won one of her three singles and two of her three doubles.
Vicky Simpson won her three singles all in three sets and one of her doubles with Emma Priest who won one of her singles.
Carla Bell won one single and one doubles while Katie Holmes from Danbury won her doubles match.
The rest of the team squad was Kirsty Eaton and Lucy King.
