Southend United boss Rob Newman has reiterated that he will be trying to re-sign loan midfielders Ian Selley and Brian Barry-Murphy.
The influential pair returned to Wimbledon and Preston respectively after Tuesday night's 2-1 defeat to Leyton Orient.
"The seed has been sown with their clubs and I'm waiting for answers," Newman said.
"However, I think Brian may feel that he needs to dig in at Preston and try and get in the team there now."
