Budding mathematicians at Holy Cross School in South Ockendon were enjoying all sorts of numerical fun last week when the school in Daiglen Drive staged its maths week.
The school opened up its maths lessons to parents, made maths games for the pupils, and pupils ran their own cafe as a mini-business.
A penny trail from coppers brought in by children stretched almost right around the school, and the money will go to CAFOD.
Children also made maths-themed hats, and took part in maths puzzles and competitions.
Teacher Gilli Leppart, who organised the week's activities, said: "It was an opportunity for the children to do lots of fun things with maths. They loved it and can't wait for the next one."
