The 2002 final of the Essex Shell LiveWIRE Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards is due to take place at Chelmsford's County Hall next week.
Ten finalists will compete for cash prizes totalling £4,000 on March 20.
All finalists in the trading and pre-trading category will receive cash prizes.
They include Rebecca Benfield of Utterly Horses, Great Dunmow, Christopher Long of Adhesive Technologies in Braintree, and Emma Healey and Trevor Butler of Epsilon Media Ltd.
In the pre-trading section are Suzanne Jane Peel of Acorn Property Management, Braintree, and Brentwood's Gabriella Francis from Porfavor Tapas.
The winning business will receive £1,000 jointly awarded by Shell UK and Essex County Council.
