The Cathedral Primary School has proved it cares as much for the training and development of its staff as of its pupils by achieving Investor in People status.
The award recognises commitment by organisations to improving business performance through developing people. It is overseen by Business Link for Essex.
Acting head teacher Glenister Thom started the ball rolling for IIP at the school.
"When I looked into it, I realised how much of what the Standard demanded we were already doing. I felt it would be very rewarding for the staff to receive outside recognition for the excellent work they were doing." She said.
