Members of Club Kingswood, in Sparrows Herne, Basildon, held the fitness challenge to help the Starlight Children's Foundation, which grants the wishes of terminally ill children and entertains them in hospital.
Wacky events at the fitness club included a 60s, 70s and 80s aerobics session, and water aerobics, which quickly became a pyjama party.
The club was contacted by the charity and asked for help with the Starlight challenge campaign, which reaches out to more than 100,000 children each year.
Co-ordinator at the club, Debbie Cornish, said: "I've not had all the sponsors' money in yet but it looks like our efforts have raised £700 to £800."
