A van and a car skidded through the front garden of a Billericay pub and narrowly missed smashing into the glass conservatory.

The van driver lost control of his vehicle after a collision in the one-way street outside Quilters pub in London Road. It crashed through a wall, followed by a car.
Pub area manager Gary Stewart said: "It could have been a lot worse. There could have been people walking across the path."
