Billericay Town are giving Finnish central defender Juho Rantala a trial for the rest of the season.
Rantala, 27 has just come to the end of the season with Atlantis FC in his native Finland and was on trial with Leyton Orient earlier this term.
However, another rearguard man, Jeff Woolsey, has parted company with the New Lodge club.
In his third season with Billericay -- he originally arrived on loan from Dagenham -- Woolsey, 24, has joined rival Ryman League Premier Division Grays Athletic and featured in Saturday's 5-3 victory at Chesham.
Former Billericay Town manager John Kendall has taken over as boss of Ryman League Division One promotion challengers Harlow Town.
The new towners host Premier side Canvey Island tomorrow in the Essex Senior Cup quarter-finals.
