An innovative 'care fair' being organised to discuss the delivery of care services across Uttlesford has sparked a massive response with more than 600 organisations expressing an interest.
The event is in response to concerns raised by people at public meetings who felt more needed to be done to make the public aware of the services available to them.
It is organised by the Uttlesford Primary Care Trust (PCT) and takes place in Uttlesford District Council Offices in Saffron Walden on April 18.
Guest speaker will be Mike Leadbetter, Director of Essex Social Services, and there will be three presentations covering children, older people and adult services.
Moppet Cave-Gibbs, Primary Care Adviser for PCT, said: "I am thrilled with the response we are receiving but it is not too late for organisations to become involved. It looks set to be the largest gathering of social care provision the area has seen."
It runs from 10am to 4pm. Free parking is available and a shuttle bus to council offices is being used.
