Ipswich Town officials will meet with representatives from Norwegian side Odd Grenland today to discuss a possible partnership deal.
Odd's director of sport Jan Saeterbakken said: "We want a purely sporting arrangement that would involve things such as the exchange of players.
"I also think our coaching staff and our whole organisation would benefit from such a deal."
The initiative for the partnership came about after a secondary school in Odd's hometown of Skien visited Ipswich and put the two clubs in contact with each other.
"We'll have our first meeting and take it from there," said Saeterbakken
