There were no troubles for Bishops Stortford on Saturday, with a comfortable 3-0 win against Thame - a result which sees them climb to 2nd in the Division One table.
It did take until the 41st minute for the Blues' obvious superiority to show however, with Trevor Paul running unchallenged through the Thame defence before planting an accurate shot into the corner of the net.
That opened the floodgates somewhat, and the second arrived only a minute later as a deflection in the box saw the ball arrive at Paul's feet, and he comfortably stabbed home his second of the game.
Thame settled after the break, relying on counter-attacks as their passport back into the game, though they were caught again in the last minute as Freddie Hyatt got in on the scoring act - beating Foster from close range to confirm the points that take Stortford above Aylesbury United and now within a solitary point of new leaders Ford United, who won 1-0 at Yeading.
