A quartet of girls from Leigh Tennis Club warmed to the Essex County LTA winter league by earning themselves a place in the history books.
Katrina Duffield, Sophie De'ath, Emily Hunter and Joanne Herd became the first club to enter the league and win a trophy during their first season.
The girls found the standard quite challenging in Division 2A but tied for top spot with Old Chelmsfordians.
Winning team - Leigh 's (l-r) Joanne Herd, Sophie De'ath, Katrina Duffield and Emily Hunter
That saw them through to a play-off event at Southend Leisure and Tennis Centre, where the two top teams in Division A and B played off for the trophy.
Leigh's foursome won their semi-final clash with Loughton's Avenue Club before defeating Harlow by one game in the final.
