A neighbourhood in Tilbury is to lose its free rubbish skip service because of the callous behaviour of a section of the community.
Thurrock Council provided a skip at Dunlop Road, Tilbury, between 9am and noon on the first Saturday of every month.
The council announced this week that it was having to withdraw the service and skips would now be located at Hobart Road, Tilbury, on the first and third Saturday of every month.
A council spokesman said: "The change of location is due to local people abusing the skip operatives and interfering with the equipment, endangering themselves and others."
