A goal either side of half-time saw visitors Boreham Wood record a deserved 2-0 success at Heybridge on Saturday.
The Swifts were never really at the races on Saturday, with Wood being given a host a chances before finally making the breakthrough. Corey Browne went close early on as the stagnant home defence looked on. Shortly afterwards, some rare attacking movement from Heybridge saw Chris Payne and Paul Abrahams fail to test Noel Imber.
Wood took the lead on 45 minutes as Dominic Grime was afforded space to run forward and despatch a spectacular drive from the edge of the penalty area.
And the win was secured on 49 minutes with Lee Harvey firing a bullet header into the net to the delight of the travelling faithful. Late chances fell the way of Kevin Budge and Abrahams, though at the end of the day a bad day for Heybridge, who were out-though and out-scored.
