Commuters are celebrating after securing extra security measures at Billericay railway station.
The Radford Way station car park has been blighted with break-ins and even a serious assault towards the end of last year.
Beleaguered travellers responded, enlisting the support of Billericay MP John Baron and putting together a petition.

Following meetings with First Great Eastern, extra patrols, security cameras and new fencing have been promised.
Railtrack has also agreed to spend £47,000 on new lighting.
Commuter Nadia Wyatt, who lobbied for extra measures, said she was delighted the train operator and Railtrack had responded.
