Volunteers to help comfort someone suffering from bereavement are being sought by the Saint Francis Hospice.
The hospice, which is based at Havering-atte-Bower is looking to recruit new helpers for its bereavement support service to help people who are experiencing the loss of a loved one.
Service coordinator, Christine McAllen, said: "Talking with someone outside of the family can be helpful."
Applicants need to be able to commit two hours a week to the service and plus time every two months for special meetings.
They should not have experienced a loss within the last two years.
A training programme and selection interviews are to held in the autumn and anyone interested should contact Christine on 01708 753319.
