The unveiling of a blueprint for a new skateboard park could mark the revival of a town's youth council.
The scheme for the young people of South Woodham Ferrers in Compass Gardens still needs a lot of funding to make it a reality.
However, what appears to be a new sense of motivation in the group is impressing the town council, says one of its members, Jim Barnet.

His comments come as the town's youth council members met to discuss the plans. He said: "I'm glad things are happening now."
The town council is to give at least £2,500 to the youth council.
Youth council chairman Yantra Scott said the costs for the scheme had spiralled from £12,000 to £30,000.
