Southend lifeboat was scrambled twice to rescue stranded sailors over the weekend.
On Saturday a boat that had got into difficulties in the strong wind was towed back to Southend beach.
Another boat, with three passengers on board, ran aground and suffered engine failure between Canvey Point and Two Tree Island at 10am on Sunday but it was towed safely to Two Tree Island by the lifeboat crew.
