The newest and youngest councillor in Tendring has been getting his skates on to publicise his top pledge.
The first thing newly-elected Lib Dem Gary Scott, 26, wants to do is get a skateboarding park built in Alresford and a recycling bin in Frating.
He won the by-election at Alresford, Thorringon and Frating with 347 votes, beating off his rivals Neil Stock (Con) with 281 and Terry Ripo (Lab) with 160.
Mr Scott, 26, is the youngest councillor on Tendring District Council and the youngest Lib Dem councillor in the UK.
Following the result, Tendring still has a hung council. There are now 20 Labour councillors, 17 Conservative, 11 Liberal Democrat and 11 Independent. Roy Smith, who was recently suspended from the Labour Party, currently has no party designation.
