A motorist and his two passengers were taken to hospital after their car rolled over on the A130 at Rayleigh.
Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene, just past the Carpenter's Arms junction, at 4.15am on Sunday.
The male driver of the blue Nissan Serena and his two female passengers had been travelling towards Benfleet when the accident occurred.
