Extension plans for a travellers' site have been refused to the delight of 100 residents who packed out a meeting.
Harsh words were spoken over the plan to increase a caravan site in Billericay.
About 100 angry residents and travellers packed the small hall, in Chantry Way, during the Billericay area committee meeting to discuss the plot on Dale Farm, in Oak Lane, Crays Hill.
