Chelmsford returned from St George's Lane with a useful point on Saturday, holding hosts Worcester City to a 1-1 draw.

Chelmsford went closest early on with Ian Cambridge floating in a corner that almost deceived Danny McDonnell. Worcester hit back through Darren Bullock's free kick, though the man turned on 48 minutes when home midfielder Mark Shail was red-carded for the use of an elbow on Ian Wiles.

Danny Potter, making his debut for Chelmsford having signed from rival Premier Division side Weymouth, then found himself picking the ball out of the net after inept defending allowed Darren Middleton to steal in and score.

City hit back almost immediately - Wiles supplied Danny Hockton who fired home from 15 yards to claim a useful away point for the Clarets, who remain 11th in the Premier Division standings.
