Youngsters at a Southend school are preparing to welcome the Band of the Welsh Guards, resplendent in full uniform, who will demonstrate the benefits of taking up a musical career in the Army.
The band will visit Southend Music School, at the Prittlewell School, in Prittle-well Chase, this Saturday.
The morning will consist of a workshop with members of the music school senior wind band, followed by a short concert to be put on by the full Band of the Welsh Guards and the music students at noon.
The midday concert is free and anyone wishing to attend is more than welcome.
For more information call the school on 01702 333932.
