Wakering stepped up their Ryman League Second Division honours bid with a 3-1 win at Ashford.
After early pressure from the home side, Rovers took a 28th minute lead when Dan Trenkel broke from the halfway line and netted after beating a couple of opponents.
After the home keeper had foiled Matt Dick, the village visitors made it 2-0 when Gary Ewers and Dick set-up Nick Jennings after 43 minutes.
Dean Munns pulled back a 52nd minute goal for the home side, launching a spirited fightback, after Wakering keeper Dave Hudson had saved from Andy Cross.
However, ten minutes from time, Ewers left the home rearguard flatfooted as their attempted offside trap broke down and Neville Hickton scored with a great shot.
