Trainee hairdressers will be creating wild and wacky hairstyles to show off their talent.
Five Southend salons will be putting forward two trainees each for the protege evening at The Studio, Queens Road, next Tuesday. They will work on the models before taking the stage for the final snips and styling.
The event which begns at 7pm is not a competition, but an opportunity for local hairdressers to express themselves and demonstrate their skill.
