Schoolgirl Faye Cowig is back at lessons after taking out her controversial braids.
After more than six weeks off The John Bramston School in Witham, Faye and her friend Chloe Hazlewood, both 15, returned to classes today.
The two girls had a meeting with the headteacher Ted Rowley this morning and were allowed to return to normal classes in time for their first lesson at the Spinks Lane school.
Mr Rowley said: "We had a talk about attendance, punctuality, uniform and homework and the girls returned to classes this morning. Hopefully this will be the end of it."
The girls had been off school after Mr Rowley said they could not be taught in class wearing braids.
Faye's mum Janie Cowig, 39, and Chloe's dad Paul Hazlewood, 40, of Hatfield Road, Witham, are happy both girls are now back at school.
