A gun-toting robber assaulted a member of staff at a Benfleet service station before making off with £2,000 in cash.
The ordeal took place at 10am yesterday, when the robber entered the Save Service Station in London Road, Benfleet.
The robber grabbed approximately £2,000 in cash before running off to a car driven by an accomplice.
He was white, aged 25 to 30 years old, about 6ft tall, of slim build with a pockmarked face. He was wearing a black woolly hat, jacket and jeans.
