A south Essex pub garden, voted among the worst in the country, is set for a major facelift.
The garden at the World's End pub, in Tilbury, is getting funding as a result in the Murphy's Irish Stout pub garden challenge.
It was voted as one of the three worst in the country - and landlord Alan Pryer is delighted.

The World's End just missed out on the top prize of a £30,000 makeover by Diarmuid Gavin and his BBC television Home Front team - that distinction went to a pub in Uxbridge - but was one of three runners-up, winning £1,000. Mr Pryer said: "I'm delighted to have been chosen by Murphy's as a runner-up.
"Our garden was in need of a bit of tender loving care and this prize will give me the chance to really improve it."
