Harlow slipped further back from the Ryman Division One promotion hunt with a home defeat to Oxford City.
The gap to 3rd-place Ford United is now up to six points, with Harlow slow out of the blocks on Saturday and two down to their mid-table opponents in the first half an hour.
Danny Wise found himself clear on goal on 29 minutes and beat James Hassell with ease. The second was scored shortly afterwards as John Mitchell's shot cannoned off of the post making it easy for Shaun Wimble to pick up the pieces and score from the rebound.
To be fair to the Hawks, they were fielding a somewhat under-strength side due to injuries and suspensions, and they hauled themselves back into it with 9 minutes left as Jason Garaghty's precise 20-yard free-kick found the target.
The equaliser wouldn't come though as Town fell to their 10th league defeat of the campaign.
