Determined Southend United supporters have set up an action group to help keep the Third Division club playing football in the borough.
Shrimpers fans are concerned for the future of their favourites, following the continued delay of a decision on Blues' ambitious planning application for a 16,000 all-seater stadium at Fossetts Farm.
Last week council chiefs said they would wait another three months before making up their minds about the £12.5million scheme on the edge of town, which would see the Seasiders leave Roots Hall.
But Blues have less than two years left on their current lease at Roots Hall and fans have launched the Save Our Southend group to prevent their club from becoming homeless or even extinct.
"We want our football team's future to be protected in the borough of Southend," said SOS spokesman Trevor Bashford.
