A driver quite literally went off the rails after her car mounted the central reservation and came to a halt straddling the barrier.
The accident happened yesterday morning when the woman's Nissan Bluebird careered from the road and hit the central reservation at the Rayleigh Weir underpass on the A127.
The car was left balanced precariously as bemused drivers drove past wondering how it got there.
The woman was not hurt in the accident and traffic police were called to the scene.
Accident - luckily, no-one was injured when the Nissan Bluebird careered off the A127
