A lorry driver has been charged with the theft of £21,000 of computer equipment from the back of his own vehicle.
A 28-year-old man from Southend will appear at Southend Magistrates Court on January 4 after being arrested and charged on Christmas Day.
Det Sgt Tony Coleridge from Epping CID said: "We have received a number of items which were missing but the bulk is still outstanding which includes a number of Hewlett Packard computers and printers."
Police were also keen to trace anyone who saw the lorry on the M11 or being emptied into a transit van in Scotts Hall Lane between Canewdon and Stambridge at around 1.30am last Thursday morning.
Inquiries are being carried out by officers from Epping police who can be contacted on 01992 561212.
