The Buteyko Breathing Technique is only taught by 30 people across the country, but Janet hopes Jessica's success will encourage more to use it.
Janet said: "It can't be regarded as a cure, but in a lot of cases symptoms can be gradually eliminated."
Now Jessica can take part in the passtimes other teenagers enjoy, including badminton.
