Police are appealing for a man who was injured in a street assault on Christmas Day to come forward.
A man looked like he had been knocked out in a public order incident in Dukes Street, Chelmsford, caught on CCTV.
Before police arrived on the scene at about 1.30am the victim had been removed from the scene, possibly in a taxi.
PC Steve Clements said up to 15 people had been involved in the disturbance by the bus station.
"We would appeal to the man who was assualted - or anyone who witnessed what happened - to come forward," he said.
The victim was described as white, aged in his late 20s, with cropped hair. He wore very light tan clothing and was of stocky build.

Three men were arrested in connection with an incident and released on police bail pending further inquiries.
