Chelmsford City welcome back goalkeeper Paul Catley from suspension ahead of tomorrow's (Saturday) tricky Dr Martens League Eastern Division visit to Newport on the Isle of Wight.
City will also be hoping that Heybridge Swifts' Andy Potter is available to deputise for the injured John Bishop, for whom the news is good regarding his medial ligament injury picked up against Erith last week.
The big central defender said: "The specialist reckons I'll be out for up to eight weeks but I'm looking to return by the end of January"
Defensive partner Ben Lewis is expected to be fit to face the Islanders having been withdrawn mid way through Saturday's defeat of Banbury with a slight back problem.
Striker Ollie Berquez is also targeting next month for his comeback following a shin fracture while Neil Housley's brief stay at the club is over after failing to establish himself.
Work commitments haven't helped his cause, and with manager, Gary Bellamy unable to guarantee Housley a place in the starting line-up, a parting of the ways was inevitable.
On Tuesday (Boxing Day), City are at 'home' to Histon in a Dr Martens League fixture, (kick-off 3 pm) at New Lodge, Billericay.
When the two sides met in October the Cambridgeshire outfit looked set for a notable scalp, that is until late goals from Kevin Dobinson, Rob Walker and Craig Newman gave Chelmsford a breathtaking 3-1 victory.
For City's match at Newport (IoW) tomorrow, a Supporters' Club coach will leave opposite the County Hotel in Chelmsford at 8.45 am and the Wood Street roundabout at 9 am.
The return fare, which includes a buffet and the ferry crossing, is £15 for adults and £10 for juniors.
For City's Boxing Day match against Histon at New Lodge, a Supporters' Club coach will leave opposite the County Hotel at 2 pm, with the return fare being £1.50.
To book a seat on either or both coaches, telephone 01245 283244.
