Two Louise Oliver goals secured all three points for City on Sunday.
It was an evenly contested game which saw Chelmsford go in at half time one goal ahead.
The second half was again a tight affair and on a knife edge with the all important second goal coming midway through the half.
Skipper Natalie Madlin stood out for City in a new role in the centre of defence and both sides deserved praise for an entertaining game.
