Clothes worn by stars of Britain's two most popular television soaps are being put up for sale by a pensioners' club to raise funds.
Millions have seen the checked shirt worn by Coronation Street actor Charles Lawson when he played Jim MacDonald, the lemon top worn by bubbly Barbara Windsor when EastEnders stars went on location to Spain and the steamy affair between character Pat Butcher and Frank set the nation talking.
Now they are being sold by Silver End Friendship Club to raise funds for their social club, together with a signed photograph of Barbara Windsor, shot outside the Queen Vic pub.
All items have signed certificates of authenticity from the TV company's wardrobe department, said Friendship Club chairman Roy Davies.
"We were very kindly given the items, so we could raise money, and are hoping to get a minimum of £50 each for the clothing items," he said.
If it cannot sell them directly, the club intends to auction them on the internet.
If you are interested in owning your own piece of TV soap memorabilia and history, Roy Davies can be contacted on 01376 585241.
