Training award: The Essex based Ministry of Defence Guard Service (MGS), which provides civilian security officers to the Ministry, has won an award for its commitment to National Vocational Qualifications. SITO, the National Training Organisation presented the Braintree company with the award during its National Training Conference in Birmingham. Les Bown, NVQ co-ordinator for MGS collected the award, saying that working with SITO to implement NVQ, in addition to its own normal training, had enhanced the position of MGS as a first class guarding organisations.
