GILLOTT CUP FIRST ROUND

A generally uninspiring game at Writtle Reserves saw Mark Hatwell net to give the hosts the lead.

Priory Sports Reserves' Tony Waring then equalised before player/manager Steve Dawson came up trumps in the final stages of extra time to score the winner.

COWARD CUP SECOND ROUND

HUTTON took the lead after the interval only to eventually lose out 2-1 to Fyfield Lion , the winner being netted in injury time.

DIVISION ONE

TEMPLAR lost 3-2 at home to Broomfield , while in the Writtle derby, there was a fierce game between the two deadly local rivals, Writtle and Greenbourne , who won the points in a 4-3 victory.

Mark Gribble (2) and James Grantham netted the Writtle goals, while Ian Young (2) and Lol Merriman (2) were Greenbourne's matchwinning heroes.

DIVISION TWO

A FINE strike from Daniel Berry gave Terling Social the lead against visitorsCherry Tree Sports Reserves .

Tree equalised via Lee Farrow's goal, before Berry's late winner earned the home side the points.

DIVISION THREE

INFIELD beat Galleywood 4-3. James Ramage, Steve Lunn and Ben Chandler scored for Galleywood, while James Jenkins and Rob Almeoth both netted two goals to help Infield maintain their title hopes.

DIVISION FIVE

Chelmer Village Athletic battled well to earn a point in a goalless draw withPartners .

The game was as close as the scoreline suggests with both goalkeepers performing well, as did referee Paul Gorrie.

ESSEX JUNIOR CUP THIRD ROUND

MALDON Saints beat Great Baddow 4-0 in an all Pope & Smith League Division Two clash, and Priory Sports bowed out after losing 3-2 at home to Braintree League side Bradford Street Rangers .
