Wadering Eskimos will find a warm welcome at a Rayleigh pub that has an igloo built at the entrance.
The Travellers Joy pub, which has now earned a worldwide reputation following previous replicas of the Millennium Dome and Wembley Towers, now has a winter monument to remind drinkers of the perils of global warming.
The igloo, 24 ft wide at the base, is the result of work by Colin Benham, landlord of the pub in Downhall Road, and a group of regulars who drink there. The huge structure has even attracted a visit from a larger-than-life Rudolph.
Mr Benham said: "It helps to put Rayleigh on the map.
"We are always going to be doing something a little bit different and we try to make it topical. You walk through it to get into the building.
"We want to make people aware of the terrible weather we have had."
The outside of the pub is complemented inside by a large ice scene along the bar.
Where's Santa - Travellers Joy landlady Bernadette Williams gets to grips with this giant Rudolph outside the pub's giant igloo.
