Dozens turned out at Canvey Methodist Church over the weekend to raise money for retired ministers.
Members of the church in Waarden Road, have spent weeks baking cakes and mince pies for the event.
Visitors enjoyed the home-baked pies and
seasonal treats as they admired the spectacular Christmas cakes on sale and sampled some of the tasty festive goodies.
Cash raised from the event on Saturday
morning will go towards the Westerley, a home for retired ministers from across south Essex.
The building is being renovated and the money raised by the churchgoers will help towards the revamp.
