Train users will have to prepare themselves for further disruptions over the Christmas and New Year period and should watch out for services finishing early on Christmas Eve.
Due to on going track repairs First Great Eastern has announced there will be no rail service between Ilford and London's Liverpool Street Station on four days during the festive period.
A bus service linking into London Underground's central line will replace the service on Christmas Eve, Sunday December 24, and from December 30 to January 1 2001.
Train services will also halt early at 9pm on Christmas Eve and trains will as usual not run on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
There will also be a reduced service on all lines into and out of London from Wednesday December 27 to Friday December 29, as only two lines will be open.
There will be additional services running on Friday December 22 between 1 and 5pm, but there will be no extended services to cover New Year.
A First Great Eastern Spokesman said: "We are stopping early on Christmas Eve as we expect it to be very quiet.
"Our message is don't leave your journey too late!"
