America's new President has been flooded with invitations to visit his home county of Essex.
Ancestors of George W Bush hail from the tiny village of Messing near Colchester.
Research proves that Reynold Bush, a farmer's son, left Messing for Cambridge, Massachusetts, in 1631 to start the family which has become a political dynasty.
Villagers are hoping to welcome the Essex boy home in style.
They have already hung a 4ft Stars and Stripes flag outside the church in Mr Bush's honour.
