In an incident-packed day, Ingrebourne secured six points from two matches -- although they still do not know if this will be enough to gain promotion.
Their first match against Partners was abandoned at half-time and with Ingrebourne leading 10-3, Partners conceded the points rather than replay.
The atrocious weather continued and Ingrebourne took the court two hours later to face old rivals Redwood.
After two quarters with Ingrebourne leading 5-4, one of the umpires refused to carry on so the game had to be restarted from scratch once another umpire could be found.
This time, Ingrebourne pulled away to a 10-5 victory, which should have been enough to secure promotion.
However, one of the other teams involved in the promotion battle failed to turn up so the Committee will have to make the final decision.
The Ingrebourne girls, however, played their hearts out and their coach could not have asked for more.
Rosie Emeny, in defence, had another magnificent game and was deservedly named 'player of the match'.
The Ingrebourne goals were scored by Sarah Brooks (7) and Lois Lomas (3), and their team was: Lois Lomas, Sarah Brooks, Nicola Dean, Stacey Turner, Becky Sears, Rosie Emeny, Becky Johnson and Kirsty Cherrett.
