Plans of how savings of £700,000 could be made by Colchester Council have been discussed by councillors.
Members of the performance panel discussed the findings of the budget review panel when they met last night but a final decision will be made on Monday when it meets with the Cabinet.
Among the items which have been considered to see if they can be cut back include closing some public toilets, cutting back on the expense of elections and looking at the grant to the Ormiston Trust.
