Name your new park is the message to people in the Braintree district.
The Tabor Triangle Site in the town centre will soon become a park for Braintree and its communities, and it will have several new art-works that will take the form of four metre long banners marking the making of the park's new beginnings.
Artists Sheila Shillitto and Joanna smith are currently working on the final designs for the banners, with designs generated from ideas, images, photographs, words and memories.
But although everything is up and running for the opening of the park, a suitable name is still needed.
Parks and landscapes manager at Braintree District Council, Ivan Le Fevre, said: "This is going to be a park and open spaced area for the whole family.
''The site has got a long history, with it being the garden of Bocking Place and the home of Samuel Courtauld, so most people in the town know it.
''It is know as the Triangle Site at the moment, but that is quite a dull name.
"Because the park is going to be a place for the community, we felt that people living in the community should have the chance to name it.
''The name that gets chosen will be one that is known for possibly hundreds of years, so it will be a great honour."
Ideas for a name should be sent to Ivan Le Fevre at Causeway House, Bocking End, Braintree, by no later than December 31, and a name will be chosen by councillors in January.
