Tottenham Hotspur will provide Ipswich Town's first test in the FA Carling Premiership when the new season gets under way.
Town will meet George Graham's side at White Hart Lane on August 19. George Burley's play-off winners then kick-off their Portman Road campaign with a mouth-watering showdown against Manchester United.
England's European Championship heroes David Beckham and Paul Scholes -- plus Andy Cole, Dwight Yorke and new signing Fabian Barthez -- will visit three days later.
Ipswich also have an early-season date with Arsenal on September 23 while John Gregory's Aston Villa will be at Portman Road on September 9. Bobby Robson's Newcastle visit on Easter Saturday.
Town entertain Chelsea in a yuletide clash on Boxing Day while a long trip to Sunderland beckons on New Year's Day.
Other eye-catching away dates are with Leeds United on September 16, Liverpool on December 9 and Manchester United on December 23.
