One England fan remained patriotic despite the Euro 2000 loss against Portugal- as he stole a St George's flag.
After Monday's 3-2 defeat for England, the thief climbed up on top of The Swag Shop by the pavilion on Clacton seafront, and took the flag, and a Union Flag.
Owner Glynis Currell said: "We have the Stars and Stripes, Scottish, Irish and Welsh flags, so they were obviously patriotic."
