A mechanical engineer is to be a daredevil on his honeymoon by doing a bungee jump.
Craig Walling will do the leap to raise money for Cancer Research. The 30-year-old from Great Totham plans to attempt the activity backwards in Queensland, Australia, later this summer.
Last year, Craig and Jenny were married but they postponed their honeymoon following the death of his mother from cancer. Now they are to have their belated honeymoon and he will do the jump as well.
Craig, who works for a precision firm, said: "I did a jump in 1990 when I was travelling through Australia but not for charity. This time I have decided I will do it backwards, which is a bit more of a dare, and raise money as well."
Craig has already received some sponsorship but would like to raise as much as possible for the charity.
Anyone who would like to make a donation can send it to Craig, c/o the Maldon and Burnham Standard office in Maldon High Street.
