A Maldon charity which can continue its work thanks to generous sponsors has made a special presentation to thank them.
SWANS (Sometimes We All Need Support) provides courses and classes for physically disabled and sensory-impaired adults of working age.
With the support of Maldon District Council, councillor Julia Peel and local businessman Ed Baldwin, the group has received financial backing from three businesses in the area.
SWANS presented membership certificates to Barry Thomas and Richard Clark, of School House Graphics in North Fambridge, and Peter and Tina Chapman, of East Anglian Mobility Ltd, based in Maldon High Street.
Paul Luxon, of the third company, EWA, was unable to attend the presentation, but he will also receive the same certificate, featuring a photograph donated by Den Phillips, of Maldon.
All three will be listed as sponsors in the group's newsletter, which is sent to individuals and businesses in the area. SWANS co-ordinator Julia Dowling said: "We are extremely grateful to these companies for giving us their support and allowing us to continue with our work."
